I have a question for you guys running a flowmaster on your V8 explorer. Which muffler are you using? I am pretty sure that some are using a single (2 in) / (1 out) muffler instead of the duals with single in / single out. I am looking at the 40 series delta flow but I don't see a muffler with 2 in / 1 out. Don't tell me that you just take it and turn it around so that the in becomes the out??

I live in Cali so this will be going behind the second set of cats. It would be cool if the muffler came with a flange that would bolt up to the flange on the back of the cats, but I guess you can't have everything.

Actually this is one of the finishing touches on my V8 ranger project so it will be subject to some close inspection by the smog referees here in Cali so this will have to be done right. What have you guys used? Is the 2 in / 1 out possible on the 40 series? Help

Thanks

Mine was a dual in dual out 50 series--and was way too loud IMO.
It was nice at first, I was grinning. However, it was just too loud to live with for hours on end.( Road trips)

tru duals, 2 high flow cats, x pipe, into 3" pipe 2 flowmaster 40 series!!

I don't think that it would be legal to use 2 mufflers here in California. I think that if the explorer came with one muffler you have to use one muffler. If I'm wrong on that somebody let me know. It might open up more possibilities.
