I'm looking for a new muffler on my v8 EB. I want something that can obviously make a difference in sound, but not too loud that its annoying. any suggestions?

u want it to be loud and deep or not to loud or what.

50 series

I have the 50 series on my x and its louder than stock but not obnoxious. I woulda liked the 40 cuz i just want it louder. But if your looking for just something a little extra i would go 50. 70 i think would be a waste of money. I also removed my resonator which did absolutely nothing. Kinda wierd.

i like the 40 series but i got a 6 cylinder 01 sport 4.0 sohc engine

So should I go with the 50 or 40? Is the 40 too loud? And if I go with the 50, will it make a significant difference?

Go with a Coffin.

No but it looks mean. There is a thread somewhere about it. I believe it also has sound clips.

I ended up going with a regular Magnaflow, 21" or 22" on my 07 V8. (The original muffler and resonator were cut out as one section, I'm storing it in my garage in case I want to return the exhaust to stock setup for resale purposes.) Earlier I had dual stainless steel tips installed and rear pipe section replaced to bring it up closer to bumper.

Sound is very good at full throttle, reasonably subdued at moderate throttle and cruise, only slightly louder than stock at idle. So far so good, it's only been on for 2 weeks.

u got sound clip ex-sv

New guy here and my first post:D
I have a 2007 Sport Trac and I want to put a 50 series Flowmaster with dual out let. I need to know does the sport trac take an off set inlet or center inlet??
