Flowmaster Super 40

Got my Flowmaster Super 40 muffler in the mail today. WOW! This muffler was painted black from the factory, I guess to help keep rust away, whereas the others were not. I replaced my Original 40 series with this. Right away I noticed it has a much deeper tone. I took it out for a drive, and under heavy acceleration it still stays pretty low. This is the best sounding muffler I've heard and would recommend it to anybody!

Yup have to agree. I said this when I first got it. They'll catch on pretty soon. Or maybe they already have.?.?

The only droning I get is around 1500 rpm.

what is the difference b/t the 40 series and the "super" 40??? couldn't find anything concerning design on flowmaster's website

The Super 40 has a deeper tone, that's all I noticed, but mine hasn't been broken in yet either.

Is the super 40 any louder than the regular 40, or is it just deeper?

Does anyone have a sound clip of their super 40 on an OHV V6? If someone posts a clip of their super 40, I'll post my sound clip of my original 40 for comparison for those who want to hear the difference.

I think for the best comparison, the Super 40 should have the same mods you do. I noticed a big change in sound when I added my headers and test pipe.

With the intake mine seems a good bit louder then it was...
