it took me.... 17 quarts? to fill my transmission after draining the pan and torque converter.

Manual states 13.9 quarts for my transmission capacity, I was able to drain about 12 quarts via the drain pan & torque converter.

it was years ago, so it was a guess. But I also have a large-capacity pan which holds an extra 2 or so quarts.
I just remember buying 2 cases of Mercon V.

I, personally, don't think there would be any issues but I really do not know.
