In 96 did they have the standard head or the external torx and what size are they? Getting ready to put a new clutch in my 96 at 210k miles.
 






There are 5 hex bolts (at least on a 5.0) that are 3/4" or 13/16"
 






They look like this on my 95, ignore the one that backed out:
