I have an 05 Expedition that when I turn the key from off to run 8 times ending in run to program the fob, the locks do not cycle so that I can start the programming process. Any ideas?

i have a similar question... i do the 8-cycle thing, and the locks cycle to show that it's in program mode, but pressing a button on the key fob doesn't do anything.

one FOB had died, then the other, so I replaced the batteries, but no luck. then i tried to do the programming routine, but it sounds like my FOBs have died.

Hi,
I have a 2002 Explorer XLT i just bought and it came with two keys but no FOB's. I bought two FOB's but I cannot get the Explorer to go into program mode. I keep trying the 8 cycle OFF/ON but will not cycle the door locks.
Been searching for an answer but haven't found one yet.
