Roughly 4 inches.

PIAA 510s fit nice and pretty! I just did mine not long ago. Pretty easy once you put the bolts in the right way!

Any mods have to be made to the brackets?

Got any pics you can post?

You know I actually had pictures, but my computer got wiped out and I lost all my pics a couple weeks ago. I'll try to take one out this weekend while I'm doing some other stuff on the Ex.

What I did was take out the "brackets" and used a rotozip to clear out the middle fancy plastic so the light could sit there instead. Then I drilled a hole in the bottom to mount the light and used a couple washers. I screwed up the first time and drilled the hole on top, NO CLEARANCE!!!

But overall it was pretty easy to do. And I picked up the lights for $100 on ebay ;)

Love to see them. I do a lot better with pictures.

Check out my photo gallery. I've got pics of my 510's in teh factory fog location, along with some pics of how I mounted them.

Hey thanks Doc, those pics helped me a lot so I'm sure they'll help edlmann. I've just been so busy w/work and golf and new plugs and wires and oil changes and nice days, no chance to get pics!!!!

Thanks for the pointer!

Off the top of my head, something looks different about the setup, but I can't put a finger on it right away. I'll have to look in the wheelwell later and check.

The splash guard around my OEM lamp is definitely different. I have a 2001 XLT with the fake chrome panels surrounding the fog lamps.
