Thanks,

Matt, mine is a '91. I think they will be different in arrangement though. Because it seemed that Turners '93 was different than mine. I guess a pic would be helpful jus to see what it looks like though...if it's not too much trouble.

Thanks a bunch,
Chris

I had some time today to mess with the fuses. I ran it into one of the 15amp fuses that is only hot when the car is on. Good stuff... if I forget to turn them off, they will cut off anyway.

Thanks a bunch guys,
Chris

Hey guys. i was surfing the net the other day and i came across autobarn.com. i notice they had the amber 550 fogs, but they also had the amber 530 fogs as well. i was wondering what is the difference because of the price difference. where i live, i dont need the most powerful lights, but i do want quality , which i feel i will get with either. the real question is how well the 530's preform in foul weather. thanks for any help.

I got the Hella 530 fog/running lights today. I ran all the wires and everything correctly, or say the wiring diagram. My question is, is there a way to turn on just your fog lights? The diagram said to run a wire into the high beam wire. I did that, and now the only way to turn on the lights is to turn on the lowbeams first. When I turn on the high-beams, the fog lights cut off! The wierdest thing of all is that when you pull back on the leaver for the highbeams (instead of pushing it foward), both the highbeams and the fog lights run at the same time. Could anyone help me with this?

I don't mean to preach, but that's the way Fog lamps are supposed to work....

(1) You don't need fog lamps on unless it is dark, so your headlamps should be on with your fogs
(2) You don't need fog lamps on unless there is fog, so you shouldn't be able to run them with high beams on. High beams and fog don't mix.

I don't mean to sound like your father, but fog lamps are for the fog. If you want to run fogs for the "look" and you don't care about the utility, then of course, take advantage of all the help others have given you.

Conversely, high power road lamps should be wired to run ONLY with the high beams. This allows you to quickly dim them to low beams only for oncoming traffic. Again, high beams with road lamps, fog lamps with low beams.

Whenever I see people running around with their fogs on, when it isn't foggy, I laugh at them. Or when they run them without headlamps, at night. It's a sign that they are more into fashion than they are utility. And it often comes on a lowered Civic.

Just my two cents, I'll shut up now (grin).

I used my radio fuse.

Currently I have my lights wired into my low beams. If I wrap the green wire around the radio fuse, will that let me use my fogs with the parking lamps, low, and high beams? Thanks for your help.
