i have a 99 explorer xlt awd 5.0
when i bought it i noticed the fog lights and day time driving lights didnt work
so i did a bit of looking and found out that fuses had been pulled for them
i replace both fuses and now the both work
but the flicker on and off and some times just stop working

i was thinking bad ground but i figured i would ask here first to see if anyone
else has had the same prob be for i got digging

I have a different problem. MY DRLs stay on - even after the truck is turned off. This kills the battery. The last time it happened the dealer had to replace the DRL module - cost me $200.

This time - I pulled the fuse. No DRLs - I don't care!

Hm...if theyre flickering, sounds like you might have a bad ground or connection somewhere moving around when your hitting bumps.

I would just go over the basics, and check the obvious wiring right around the lights themselves.

you just need to pull the plug on the drl module... everything is then fine from there.
