hey, i just got the valence with fog lights and need to know which ones you guys think i should buy. i have a 95 so it has the rectangle slots, and i would like something that would fit pretty much perfectly in there without leaving any space. i like the dual piaa ones, if you know if any of those would fit perfectly. if there aren't any, i will just get the stock fogs. please give me any suggestions if you have any! thanks

Whatever you do don't get the stock fogs!

I think the PIAA 1400s and 1500s fit? Do not use the factory wiring (if you have it) to run these, run new wiring.

You dont have to be limited by the stock openings size. That air dam/valance can be enlarged with a hack saw blade to accomadate many lights. This pic is from an old Explorer Express catalog.

Looks gaudy to me. I think if you look around you can find something that will fit in there better.

JasonF, the point is that you dont have to be limited by the size of the Ford openings. Wheather you like the lights or not in that pic doesnt really matter.

have fun making your own brackets for oversized lights!

i've got the piaa 1500's in the stock location. they work great. i got the driving lights instead of the fogs, and they project way down the road, which was what i wanted. you just have to use your stock fog light brackets, drill a couple holes in them to mount the piaa mounts on it, and you're set. just measure twice and drill once if you do it. good luck.

thats interesting, because to fit the pro90s i had to modify the stock brackets to the point that you couldn't tell where they came from. the difference must be that the 1500s are small enough to fit inside the stock brackets. that is good news for those who are interested in buying the smaller piaa's.
