ford 8.8

i am new here and have a question. i have a beater jeep also and i need to swap a ford 8.8 rear axle into it. The weak jeep axle broke. I need to know what models from 95 and up have the 4.11gears and the traclok differencial. sorry about the jeep but at least it will have a ford axle

You will not be able to find out what models had a 4.11 with trac loc (FYI its 4.10 gears in the Explorers). Your best bet is to look at the Axle ID tag's this will tell you exactly what the Axle has for gears and trac loc....

i think mostly the 2-door sports had 4.10s and ls. not all but i think more than the 4-doors

Was 410s ever an option in Xs? I believe the 3:73s were as low as you could go (HD tow package)

4.10s in the newer explorers....never in the early 91-94s
