I dont know exactly but I think that all jeep vehicles have to run (and pass) through the rubicon before they go into production. At least that is what our jeep video said when we bought our Grand Cherokee.

You could eventually get any car through the Rubicon with enough patience and hard work. I hardly think taking a Liberty through is any sort of benchmark.
