Explorer 2015 limited 4wd
Hello i am having a hard time with My hvac module. I have B10B9 code, the technician told me that My hvac module is not working. The part number in My explorer EB5T-18c612-dd, i found another module with the same number and still not working! How is this possible! Ford doesnt sell the module anymore, the gave me another part number eb5z-19980-d i can't find it either it is discontinued... The module can be programmed or something? Because look on every junk yard nationalwide its going to be imposible!! I hate Ford for this!!! I have a Explorer 2015 limited v6 .... Heated seats, digital a/c, automátic dual zone. Thank You in advance.

I just went through something similar. I have a 2015 PIU and got everything straight except for HVAC. I can hear the flaps moving, the AC compressor clutch engages, but no moving air. I found out that the car was missing a resistor, so I got one off Amazon, plugged it in, and NOTHING. So, I replaced the blower, and still nothing. I found a module on Rockauto, the last one, and still nothing. Now I bring out my multimeter and start poking wires. The blower is not getting getting power. The resistor has a direct line to the blower. I figured it had to be the resistor, even though I just replaced it.

I went to the local auto parts store and bought a full priced resistor, and installed it in the parking lot. All of it works. I don’t know if that’s your issue, but I would start poking wires with the multimeter while you look for the module. Those resistors get blazing hot, I can see how they would go bad under certain conditions.

Just because the part is new, doesn't mean its good. Buying parts off Amazon or Ebay can be a crap shoot. Check if the seller is a Ford Dealer. Or brick and mortar store / dealer.

It's possible that if one 10-year-old part has failed, many of them have failed.
It's possible that the technician was wrong about what's not working.
It's possible that you installed it wrong.
...
There are MANY possibilities that could explain it.
The module can be programmed or something?
Yes, or something.
I hate Ford for this!
For what? Not being in the business of 10-year-old vehicles? Not warranting vehicles for 10+ years? Not continuing to make parts for vehicles they haven't made in 10+years?

i cant understand why two modules are failing, according to forscan i have b10b9 DTC and according to this, it has to be the HVAC module, they change the blower and the blower resistor module and there is no air blowing in the front vents. i hate that they are still making tons of other parts for this 10 Year old vehicle but not the parts i need.

I think that's the same code I got. You should check the current to the blower first, then the 4wire connector going into the resistor, second. I think you will find that if there is power going into the resistor, but no power to the fan, it might likely be the resistor. It could be the wrong one, or faulty. There are different ones for different systems.

I checked both numbers he posted on Levittown Ford and Ford Parts and they are either invalid or obsolete/discontinued.

Some auto recyclers have a system they use to check for parts nationwide.

...it has to be the HVAC module
Until someone actually goes through the diagnostic process to find the root cause of that code, NO ONE can say what it "has to be". It could be a wire that a mouse chewed through. It could be a loose terminal in a connector. It could be lightning damage.
they change the blower and the blower resistor module...
Changing parts is NOT diagnosis. If "they" changed those parts in response to this symptom, and the symptom didn't change, then "they" wasted they's time. They might as well have changed the lug nuts and wiper blades - those ALSO wouldn't affect this symptom.
i hate that they are still making tons of other parts for this 10 Year old vehicle but not the parts i need.
Ford makes the parts Ford needs, including parts to service warranty issues. If so few of those modules failed that Ford quit making them, that should tell you something - it's NOT a likely failure.

You need diagnosis - not parts. Actual skilled technical test-light & digital-multimeter diagnosis of the affected circuits.

Also, you should look up the part no. as CCM-** instead of the model no. I found that CCM-61 works with my vehicle, but not CCM-60. using the part no. on the actual unit makes it more difficult to find, in my experience.
