Ford PIU manuals

Recently purchased a 2014 PIU, found a manual set for 2015(thinking it would be a year off but probably the same), he sent me a 2017 set. Is a 2017 set gonna cover a 2014 vehicle or were there major changes that will be irrelevant to a 2014? Thanks

I don't know for the PIU but there were some changes between '14 and '17 for the non-PIU, but I can't even tell you all those changes.

Did you mean the workshop manual or the owner's manual? The '14 PIU owner's manual is here:

Welcome to the Forum.
The 2016 retail Explorer underwent a 'refresh' and with it there were changes made, I believe mostly in the software.
