Anyone used this? It seems to be the cheapest I can find, I assume it's endorsed by Ford if it calls itself Ford Racing, and the V6 Mustang guys love it. Any reason it wouldn't work well in the dirt?

Here's a link to the product for reference:

Thanks for any and all help and responses.

if your going to be offroading I would just get a locker, it's not going to be that much more expensive and will perform a lot better. Limited slip is more for the street than offroad. You'll also have to factor in replaced the $70 clutches every couple of years if it's getting hard use as well. That kit will replace the carrier as well so your gears will need to be set up again which can get expensive if you can't do it yourself.

I agree fpr serious offroading a locker is best. For less serious offroading a limited slip works well. A Torsen or Truetrac are helical gear driven limited slip differentials. Both are available for a 8.8.

Wow I'm glad i asked before buying. Thanks for all the input! Looks like Aussie doesn't make a locker for a 7.5. Is Lock Right my best option? How long does one of these last before it needs to be replaced?

From what I've seen it seems like automatic lockers may not be the best idea for icy conditions? My Bronco is my summer toy, but also my winter rig to get me through snow and ice. Is there a good manual locker around the same price range? Thanks again.
