Solved Ford Ranger oil filter removal warning!!!

Prefix for threads that contain problems that have been resolved, and there is an answer within the thread.
I have the 3.0L Vulcan (thats the technical name just fyi :D) in my Taurus and it has a cap on the starter leads. I'd suggest you go looking for a replacement :eek: What sucks is on the FWD version of the Vulcan, the oil filter is located right next to the left exhaust header bank, so you cant run your engine to heat up the oil unless you got a Kevlar or something welding glove :D

The 3.0L is irritating to alot of people, but a very durable motor IMO. :thumbsup:

And yes, the 3.0L Vulcan will leak if not strap-wrenched down. I should know. Mine does....
