Ford Ranger with a check engine light.

I have a 2001 Ford Ranger Edge, that was recently misfiring in Cylinder 2. I replaced the spark plugs and wires and it seemed great. Drove roughly 20 miles and the check engine light turned right back on and flashes like crazy. The car also vibrates harder than normal. HELP?

...From what you described, it could be anything from a plug and wire short to heads...

What type of spark plug are you using? This engine doesn't like anything but MOTORCRAFT plugs. If you use anything but MOTORCRAFT, I would remove all of them and install the original MOTORCRAFT onto it. You'll see from night to day. You don't have to go to Ford Stealership to get the plugs, Auto Zone have it for around $4 -$5 each.
