I have the transmission out on my 94 replacing an oil soaked clutch.
I understand that the Ford replacement rear engine seal requires a special tool because of a wear sleeve while a "parts store" replacement does not.
(I wasn't sure if this applied to pre 94's.)
It might be tough, but with a little manuvering, I think I may be able to get my hands on the special tool.
The question is: Is it really any better and worth the trouble to go with the Ford seal?
