:D So..............
Bro in law wrecks his trusty dusty bII.(86 2.9 v6)

I want the 5 spd, and lever operated transfer in my XXXploder.

Will it work?
Is my crank tapped for a pilot already, or did ford not do that to auto motors?
I know ALL Toy is tapped, but this is first exploration with ford.

Pilot shaft, will it be too long?

Driveshafts? a/t and 5spd same length tranny?

Also, I really want his lift, like 4 or 6" lift. Makes his 31 10.5's look like 205 60 15's

Will that work?

And I have those F$#%@^g auto hubs, he doesn't; see where I am going there?

If all this will swap it will make the entry fee worth while, since I already am having valve body (thx Tn_Explorer) issues with mine, and the apparent cost to fix is not much less than the whole bII. :us: :exporange :fire:

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh, and are these things tippy?
Could have been trying to talk me out of the job, cause he wants the bII, but a guy I talked to said that with the 32/33;s and the lift, I will be roll city.

Oh, and also has those really cool rubber fender flares to cover the tires and keep the PO lice happy ;) Will those go, honestly, I can't see much difference between first gen rangers, and our trucks. Just the face lift to the grille that they did in '89

was hoping for a replu, as I am about to buy...... :us:

never mind, already gone. Guess I will do the valve body, and build the Toyota, which should prove to be the more serious wheeler than American junk anyway

theres something about going on an enthusiests site and putting down thier vehicles that just dont seem right...

Okay mr I love toyota with no patience.

Yes the 5 speed and BW1350 T case could have been used in your 4.0L powered truck.

The lift kit, the front part, could have been used as well.
However the BII has a dana 28 TTB, whereas your Ex has a Dana 35 TTB so the locking hubs would not have worked.

Swapping from the A4lD auto to the 5 speed could have been quite a chore for you however, there is more to it then just bolting it up.

Have fun with your Yota's we all know what they are capable of and how well they are built, but there is no need to put down the also very well built, best selling truck/suv of ALL TIME the Explorer :)
Have fun with your birfields and grossly underpowered engine :)

Sorry, I was under a lot of marital stress back then, and myX got better mileage than my van ever did.
and when I killed the van, bought and reincarnated the BII as well. then the 5 speed junked itself 600 miles later, should have kept it, but it annoyed the subdivision......................

Was regeared, 35's would have made the speedo right, ran 31's, and you would get passed HARD in a 65 mph zone if you were "going" 75.

And they really like first gen camry radiators, FYI:D

you can correct the speedometer with a new drive gear on the speed sensor

Yeah, but that 86 went to the crusher.... actually the bone yard, thinking about seeing if the springs are still available from said boneyard for the Ranger.
