Just getting some ideas here.....
I don't have anybody around here who sells audiobahn so i can't go hear them for myself.
But i have been hearing good things about the subwoofers.
I have 2 HX2 10'' subwoofers right now.
One is blown and i don't have no warrenty.
I love my fosgates but i hate the price.
And the audiobahns look nice in both areas.
I was wondering what ya'll think:
Buy new HX2
or switch to
aw1051t or aw100Q

From what I learned anything audio that's German is great. I have 2 Audiobahn subs and LOVE them. Fosgate seems to plain IMO and I haven't heard of them outdoing some Audiobahns. I would go with the Audiobahn, they look cool too! Also, I haven't found any dealers here either, just buy off eBay, it's cheaper anyways.

i'd say go with the audiobahn, i've heard nothing but good about them. a guy i used to work with had an audiobahn sub and it sounded amazing all by itself, can't remember the rest of the components powering it though.

MMMMMM....Audiobahn....I think just the name Audiobahn speaks for itself...Just say the word "Audiobahn" to yourself a few times :D You will figure it out....:)

lol........i take it there are a lot of audiobahn lovers in the explorer world.
I guess i'll check these subs out more in depth.
By the way, does anyone know if i can send
my broke 10 to fosgate to fix it?
or should i just throw it thru someones
back window?

Sell it on ... EBAY! People buy anything on there, BTW, you know what's wrong with it? Did it just blow one day?

I thought it could be fixed.....
it will only play when i push in the cone.
Its like something wasn't making contact back there or something.
does this make sense?

migga, it does to me... sounds like some wire or something came loose.

do u know if a shop would fix it?
Or if i could send it into fosgate?
Or if it would be expensive?

ahh you don't wanna throw it though someones window....thats just not cool...you'd be pissed if that happened to you.

but audiobahn is great man, i love my 1 audiobahn 12, people can't believe its only 1 12, i mean its not deafing inside the truck, but its loud for 1 12...go audiobahn, fosgate has gone down the toilet lately

i'm building my dream system (well within my means as a college student) and i'm using audiobahn components but RF amps and subs.

i have always loved RF for amps and subs and i don't think anything else can touch them that is mass produced for the same price.

DO NOT buy audiobahn from ebay or an ebay seller. they are like 50% bootleg and none of them have a warranty. i've done tons and tons of research on the subject and i the amount of fake audiobahn in the world is incredible. i have also researched enough that i can help you avoid it if you want to pm me i can give you a couple of authorized retailers who have great prices.

I agree with expo5.0, buy nothing audio related on ebay. unless it's dynamat, i get all my dynamat off of ebay for half the price, im in the process of doing my whole explorer. i have rf subs with excellon amp but i have heard audiobahn and it does very well in the bass department. unfortunately the good subs they make are pricy and the amps are too. if you are going to buy anything make sure it has a warranty. and it sounds like your voice coil is blown on your rf 10

audiobahns not german chief....

and about ebay, yes theres great risk but, BUT, sometimes you'll find a nice cheap little "jewel", thats just a really good product and a great deal, make sure to research what youre buying, whether on ebay or in a store, IMO audiobahn makes good stuff, thats why I'm running it :D , good luck with the system....

I believe this will fix your sub migga. Happened to a buddy's of mine and it was some fosgate subs. The wire that goes from the speaker wire connection to the sub pulls off the sub. It is from the excursion of the sub. Anyways, just solder it back on. It is a simple fix and if you are going to just throw it you might as well try it anyways. It is just a small wire(can't remember the exact name of the wire) but check to see if it is pulled off or coming loose. If so, just solder it back on and you are good to go. This could be the problem????

yeah i believe audiobahn is based out of california....but their roots maybe German....

my roots are german. i wonder if that makes me good?

just a small wire(can't remember the exact name of the wire)

it's called a voice coil

the wire is not detatched from the coil. I figured it was something inside, which i cannot get to.
Or the voice coil is fried like someone else said.
But i thought that if the coil was dead then it wouldn't play at all.
It will play for a couple of seconds if i push the cone in......or if i keep my hand on the cone it plays.......and sometimes if i'm lucky, when i'm going down a hill.....lol
