lol I know what your talking about but it’s not. It’s way bigger.Looks like a residual safety seal from a pressure cooker to me - seriously!
I did. Pulled all the way to under front passenger seat, and I really couldn’t see behind glove box/dash. Thanks for your help.Did you pull the carpet all the way back and out to have a look? Looks like a floor or firewall plug
Yea me too which was very odd. Might have to call dealer on Monday and see what they say it is. Will keep everyone posted. And any help in the meantime is great.I tried checking the part number, at least as much as I could see and came up with nothing.

I will give that a try. Just bizarre can’t find this part # online. FrustratingStrange. RH plug found under the passenger side carpet? Pull up the driver side carpet and see if anything similar is there?
Well, the passenger side is the RH side after all.Strange. RH plug found under the passenger side carpet? Pull up the driver side carpet and see if anything similar is there?
That’s true! Wife said it wasn’t there before. So who knowsWell, the passenger side is the RH side after all.If it's been there for 6 years, it can't have a very important function. Perhaps it was something that was accidentally (or not) dropped during its run down the production line.

Thought so too. Mine are black as well. No other holes on the floor.I think it might be the plug for the footwell drain. Mine are black. You can look under the car where front passenger's feet go, for a hole that allows water to drain out.
Yes it does.Does your truck have a moonroof? Thinking it could be a plug for the drain hole on a non sunroof explorer
