Front Auto-Locking Hubs Grinding!

I just got done doing the brakes on my 93 sport. Put it all back together per the Hanes Manual. Driving home I start to heard some weird ratcheting sounds. You can actually feel the pop in the front end like when shifting into 4x4 on the go. I know, time for some manual hubs, but I cant afford that right now. Help!?!?

Oh and the front hubs where hot to the touch after the short drive.

Ok I have been reading some other threads and it looks I am SOL unless I convert here? I just cant figure out why all of a sudden its all f'd up. According to the book you cant put the hub on wrong since it has to line up.

Problem Solved, I'm a retard. Two of the lugnuts on the drivers side worked there way loose, even though it was properly torqued. I guess that caused the gears in there to grind.
