Front differential size difference

I recently bought the new trakmotive CVS for my wife's 3rd gen, that's 3 in lifted , the cvs are too short for my differential, upon research I discovered that after March of 02 the front differential is different from the beginning 3rd gen body style. Can anyone give more information on the length of the diff case?

bump wasnt 2 the first year of the 3g anyways? or is this an early prod (ie january) 02?

The explorer was made in Feb of 02. They apparently have a different size diff case , after March of 02
