front drive shaft too short?

I have a 97 4x4 that was missing a front drive shaft. I ordered a front drive shaft off of a 99 truck that was identical to mine. I went to install today and the shaft is about 1 inch too short... am I missing a piece? can someone post a pic of their 2nd gen front drive shaft where is bolts to the yoke? Thanks in advance

does it have a slip yoke in it?

if so , pull that thing apart a bit ,
