I have been having a problem with my explorer and I am not sure what it is and neither does Firestone. There is a CLICKING/CLUNKING noise which sounds like it is coming from my front end. When I go over something a little rocky, like a sewer hole you can here it come from both the tires. But I am also 100 % sure that it is not my rims or tires. I have taken it to Firestone on 3 seperate occasions and it starts the clicking sound like a week after I get it back, so if anyone has any advice or thinks they know what the problem may be, could you please let me know.

Thanks Derek

Do you have auto Hubs? One could be blown.....

Nope I have manual WARN hubs.

I am having the same problems on the truck I just got.

but it's a 2WD.

any other ideas?

If you evcer figure out what the problem is, can you please post it here or send me an email.

Thanks

Since you kind of ruled out the hubs. I had a similar expience with my wifes explorer and it turned out to be the radius arm bushing on the passenger side was all but gone and everytime I hit anything it would make a clunking sound. Its quick and easy to check.
