I am just about done with this issue. I have replaced the entire front end using the info on this forum. Upper, lower ball joints and control arms, innner outter tie rods and even the rack and pinion. Just this weekend I replaced the shocks but still have this damn knocking in the front when going over any bumps in the road.. What else can it be? I don't think there is any thing else to replace!!I also replaced the sway bar bushings so dont suggest that one..

Help this is driving me nutz...

I would suggest you take it to a tire/alignment shop (shop around some will gouge you on the price). From there they will be put your E on the rack and check everything. I had the same problem. I had to replace all the same stuff you have, ended up being a series of small things: Serpent belt, sway bar end link and bushings (the stock ones tend to dry up and seem like they are good but the inner area of the bushings are usually eaten up pretty badly).
Like mentioned above a good alignment shop that will be able to diagnose the problem rather than you just throwing money at it.

I fixed it!! It took a front wheel locking up but I found the problem when one of the brake Caliper bolts fell off and the assembly spun around and locked up the tire. It turns out both the bolts were loose and it was constantly rattling!! I tightened up all the bolts on both sides and with my new front end and shocks It feels like it's new again!!!! Woohoo!

Hope this helps someone else!

This is so common it's actually alarming. I went ahead and put on thread lock to keep it from backing out. Also just a hint for the beginner's or even some others use a small dot of red fingernail polish (whatever color that is bright) on the thread and bolt end. That way all you need do is check to make sure the nail polish is still lined up. It's easy how to. It will save you a good amount of time as well.
