rear heater works great, front heat is just warm.

coolant levels are normal, not leaking anymore after I replaced the cracked Y fitting.

I've put the front end up on ramps to make sure I didn't have an air pocket in there.

did some searching on the forum but didn't see anything else.

looking for some other items I can check or do myself before I have to take it to a professional.

Thanks!

Have had same issue for years. Checked and replaced thermostat housing, blend door actuator. Replaced heat control valve. Flushed heater core. Had radiator replaced.

Nothing has fixed it.

Had professionals look and diagnose. Nothing ever seems to make it right.

So not to be the turd in the punch bowl but...if you have any luck please post

It's usually the blend door actuator. It's a common problem. Generally when they fail they will make a clicking noise when you move the temp selector. You did mention though that it was merely warm. When mine went I don't even think it was warm. I would change that first and see if it helps. Otherwise, you may have a blocked heater core. There is a separate heater core in the rear so you can still have rear heat with a clogged front core.
