on the first generation xplorers, how hard is it to get the differential off? do you have to remove the ttb or can you unbolt it from the front and drop it down like a ford 9 inch?

Pull hubs rotor and axle from

drivers and seperate pass at splined section then unbolt the front diff. If I left anything out some one please correct me.

You will have to unbolt the drivers side radius arm and swing it out to remove the bolt that goes through the radius arm, behind the front third member. As stated above, you must remove the axle shafts. The passenger side is held in place from the inside with a clip. Seperate it from the yoke joint, mid-way between the third member and outside U joint.

Hope I was helpful!

i think i got it. so basicly aside from a few small things it will just unbolt. that's all i was wandering thank you for the help.
