Got a 95 Explorer with windshield washer and rear window washer issues. Motors for both work just fine, but neither will work by pushing the Multifunction switch or the rear wiper switch buttons. Wipers work just fine, to temporarily make front washers work, I ran a wire from fuseblock to the wiper motor and installed an inline fuse and momentary on switch. This is fine, but it takes some extra coordination to run washers and wipers. I have not (yet) run a similar setup to the rear. I'm guessing this is a relay issue (Ford uses WAY TOO MANY relays), but all relays check out fine.

Anyone have suggestions?

I just had the same issue with my 98. I think your 95 may be the same.
Replace the relays! Mine checked out OK but failed after being reinstalled.
They are located up front by the upper radiator hose sort of under the coolant bottle.
Replace them both, I haven't had an issue since!

Thanks for the info. I'll give it a try!

if that doesn't work, you may want to go to the junk yard and pick up another multi function switch.

yes, on my 99, had to replace both relays, now the front and rear washer work.
read somewhere else that the ckt goes through both relays to get them to work?

cover on relay box

I've located the relay box but I don't know how to open it! Except maybe with a hammer...
