I need help getting the 3 front u-joints bearing cap diameter (what size u-joint it is) I think they are all three the same but I don't know their size. Also, what's best non-greasable or greasable u-joints? I heard the greasable ones are weaker.... Thanx

All 3 u joints in the TTB are the same U joint. I dont know the model # off hand.

Use non greaseable U joints for the front end, they do not get used much and they are hard to access with a grease gun, non greaseable work fine.

Why are you replacing them? the reason I ask is most times people replace them because they think they are the source of a problem, noise, or what have you.
The majority of the time they are not the source of the problem. Typically the U joints outlast all the other wearable front end parts, ball joints, bushings, bearings, tie rods, etc.....

Thanks for the tip... actually I'm replacing them cuz I saw a lot of slop in them when I lifted the truck a while ago they clunk around and around when turning and I can move them around when the vehicle is still... Gonna be doing ball joints and the ujoints and those darned radius arm bushing... got any wpecial tips? I'd prefer to drop the springs instead of cutting off the rivets on the radius arm brackets

BTW do you know what size (diameter) I need to get?

Cutting the rivets is the easy way to do the radius arm bushings. Otherwise you have to drop both beams completely.

However since you are doing ball joints and U joints, you will only be a shock, a coil and a pivot bolt away from dropping the beams.

Any competent part store can tell you what U joint you need. for some reason Spicer 1350 is popping in my head for the front, but I really dont know unless I go home and look at my spares..

You may also be able to find the info here:

www.therangerstation.com

You will need an alignment after all this :)
Also a perfect time to:
re-pack wheel bearings
replace brake pads
replace front diff fluid
grease up pass side axle slip yoke

Cool thanks, I'll check it out..:D
