ok this may sound stupid....my front wiper motor is humming and no juice is coming out. i was having intermitent problems when it first got cold out.....one side worked one day then the other the next.....then the resevoir ran dry. i thought at first it was possibly a little water in the lines...it's now warmer out and there wouldn't be any frozen water in the lines.

where do you suggest i start on this? i am looking at the haynes manual and because my x has the coolant and washer resevoirs joined together it looks like a chore to get to the pump??? thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Take the cowel off. One screw in the middle and it pops off. Remove and blow through the hoses to clear them and see if it works then. Hose could be crimped. or it could have picked some junk and pluged the hose. You may have to use a pin to push through the openings in the cowel that the hoses hook to.
Hope its that and not the pump.

thanks Bill. I ended up looking in the resevoir and it was empty.....I just filled it up before I left work. It must have leaked out somehow as I was pumping it driving home. I then half filled with water making sure I never spilled any on the garage floor. My room-mate pumped it while I watched and both jets fired away - no leaks anywhere. I did end up putting a needle in the jet - maybe that cleared up a blockage....not sure. Anyways it seems to be working now. Good news I didn't have to tear things apart.

Thanks again. Mike,
