Fuel Economy Tips For 1996 5.0 Limited

Just changed my upstream O2 sensors. My mpg went up to 17 mpg from a dismal 15. I dont drive it that much anymore anyway. :p
 






Untrue because colder, more dense air will actually help your mileage while driving as compared to warmer air.

I disagree slightly

Colder air IS more dense and you will get increase in horsepower. Some say every 20-30 degree drop you'll gain 1 or 2 horsepower.

But, cold dense winter air doesn't burn off gas as well as slightly warmer air, which will hurt your gas mileage. Your engine burns off gas best when warm.
