I was replacing the fuel filter on my 2000 Explorer. The engine side came apart with no problem, but when I went to disconnect the intake side the line broke at the compression fitting. I'm looking to see what options I have.

Thanks
Pappy

Considering that you probably have to drop the tank, avoid doing that a 2nd time on a donor vehicle, I'd check online for salvage yards that will ship it to you.

You could try a dealer but if they have it then I'd expect > $100. You might be able to use standard high pressure fuel line and clamps.

Seems to me some auto parts stores sell repair pieces that you may be able to adapt. I saw them at AutoZone a few years ago (behind the counter item). The pieces were around 10" long, had the formed filter end on one end and just the open tubing on the other end. I'd put a small flare on the to ends to be joined, use a piece of fuel injection hose and fuel injection clamps.
