I have not heard of "Fuel Power" before now. I looked at those threads on the oil guy site. I can vouch for Sea Foam (just re-treated my truck with excellent results) but not Fuel Power.

I reveived my Fuel Power today and will add it tomorrow upon fill up with gas. We shall see what happens....

I'm interested to see what comes up. Keep us updated.

I added the Fuel Power ( FP ) to the gas tank and then filled up with Mobile 87 octane gas,

I used the “shockâ€￾ dosage of 2 ounces of FP per 5 gallons of gas ( or 8 oz per tank ). The next tank will be at the rate of 1 oz/5 gal.

The FP has a distinctive organic chemical smell.

I've been using Fuel Power and my 97 Explorer and have had a nice increase of about 1.5 mpg. Even if I did not get this I am happy as I it idles smoother and seems quiter (could all be in my head to justify!)

Also I will be checking Nox emissons reductions as this is one of their big selling points. Using Lube Control for that as well.

My dad uses similar stuff to treat the diesel for his yacht. While its hard to calculate if there is any improvement in efficiency, the exhaust soot from the 2-stroke diesels is very noticably reduced.

Should be interesting to see the difference it makes in a gas engine.

Jefe make sure it is this product http://www.lubecontrol.com/fuel.htm .

Not this http://www.fppf.com/prdFuelP01.html .

Fuel Power by Lube Control is what he needs to be using.

I am still running on the same tank of gas, a month later, therefore no mileage data yet. However, I do feel that the idle is much smoother and the throttle response appears to be improved.

I have a 500 mile run to Atlanta in a week or so; this should provide some useful data.

After a run down to the hunt camp this morning, I needed to fill up.

I went 443 miles and it took 18.9 gallons to fill up. That results in a 23.4 MPG. That is mostly in town driving with about 100 highway miles.

I only track highway mileage because in town driving has way too many variables.

I decided to use another 2 oz/5 gal gas treatment for this tank.

I am very pleased with these results.

Does the cost of the product offset the possible savings in gas?

When you get some highway mileage data, let us know. Should be interesting...

Have you tried Auto-Rx? Many good things said about it at the oil guy site.

ZMax also made such claims...
It's nice to see these products tested by non-partisan people who know how to keep track of mileage, like Al.

I have shown 2-3 mpg increase since using FP. I actually have saved money by using FP. Even if I did not have a gain in mpg I'd still use it as I can see what it has done in regards to emissions and just cleaning the fuel system. Also use it in my lawn equipment. My honda push mower has never engaged so easily.

If your question was addressed to me, the answer is no.

Auto RX is an oil treatment, not a fuel treatment. I am a firm believer in using only full synthetic oil and therefore do not need any type of supplementation.

Here is Auto RX website - http://www.auto-rx.com/

Auto RX is not an oil supplement. It is a cleaner. It is not like Marvel Mystery Oil or Risolone. It is a very slow acting cleaner that takes over 1000 miles to work. Many have reported increased fuel mileage after an Auto RX treatment. It will dissolve carbon from around the ring pack, allowing the rings to seal better. Better sealing rings will give you a more efficient engine. Even if you have used synthetic oils exclusively, there will be a certain amount of carbon in the combustion chamber/ring pack area. In your quest to achieve the highest fuel mileage possible, this may help. Read about it at the oil guy site or the Auto RX site for more info. I am currently using it in my X in hopes of fixing a leaking rear main seal.

Let us know if Auto RX helps with your leaking rear main seal. The leaky rear main is a very common problem on the 1st gen trucks.
