At what pressure is the fuel when it's at the intake from the supply line after the fuel filter?

I'm in need of making a hose and wondering what kind of options I have.

IF the regulator is working correctly, its 30-40. IF its not working correctly I've seen it hit pressures upwards of 60psi which makes it run really rough etc..

Did you break the factory line from the regulator down to the supply line (from the tank)? If so, junk yard is your best option.

I noticed a mist/smoke coming from underneath my hood when trying to get my truck to start since it wasn't starting. I think my starter had a deadspot again because I put another autozone lifetime starter in 1 month ago and the truck ran great. This new one left it dead, towed it home, took it out, couldnt get it to crank over even when jumped. Hooked cables directly to it and still wouldnt spin so I figure it HAS to be the starter since it won't turn even when hooked directly to a battery.

SO... after autozone tested the starter, of course it spun and looked good, put it back in the truck and still wouldn't start. So I check for battery cable resistance and it was 1-2 ohms. So I figure my battery cables and ground isn't shorted.

Put starter back in, try to jump with our other car, let battery charge because it seems weak. Charged it with other car for 3min and she slowly turned over. Now, I hooked the jumper cables from car to its terminals, but the truck had the positive jumper cable to the pos truck battery, but the negative jumper cable was hooked to the ground (alternator bolt).

I'm hoping like heck that I didn't do this myself (almost don't want to know), but thought it was a better idea to hook battery cables to the ground of the truck than to the battery.

Anyways, now I have a hole in my fuel line, remove intake plenum, etc.... Got the fitting off of the intake manifold, however the fitting down by the filter was more of PITA. Was a dumb@@@ and dint use the fuel line tool to remove the line fittings. Finally get the supply line off of the fuel filter and cant get the old line out due to the PITA stainless band clamp under the steering linkage that holds all 3 fuel lines running into the engine bay to the left frame rail.

So I cut it out with a Dremel (not the best idea but I was livid with Ford engineers at that time and I'm an ME), after talking with my neighbor who is a Ford mechanic and says, ya do what you gotta do, we'll make you a new one tomorrow at the dealership.

Well come to the dealership today and they're like, ughh, thats a stainless hose line, we thought it was plastic. I'm like oooh no, that not good, now I would much rather put a custom made new line in that uses the old fittings that I cut off the old line. I spec out hoses everyday at work and just need to know the type of hose and fittings to construct a new hose from. Assuming I can get the fittings, I'm sure the hose itself is pretty common.
