Okay....i was low on gas, i took it to the gas station, i filled it up. I tried to start it and it would'nt start. i had it towed to my mechanic who scratched his head, went to his toolbox and got his "magic rubber mallet", got on his hands and knees, (now he knows what it's like...) hit the gas tank a couple of times here and there, told me to turn the key and wouldn't ya know it......it started right up!
now, i love the idea of having my own magic rubber mallet sitting beside me waiting to be used the next time the truck won't start, (so far five times i've used it)
but i need to fix this problem before the magic wears off.
My Question: Has anyone ever changed a fuel pump in their own garage and if so...what kind of pain was it?
i want to do it if thats the problem......does anyone know?
