Fuel return line.

I can't for the life of me remember where this thing goes. It's the line that comes off the fuel pressure regulator on the intake manifold. It's a thin and long black metal tube with multiple bends in it. It has short sections of rubber hose on either ends. I'm pretty sure that one end connects to the fuel return line on the regulator.

The Haynes manual doesn't tell you where it hooks up to. It just says it's a fuel return line.

Rubber "slip" fittings on either end or screw on fittings? What you are describing sounds to me like the vacuum line that goes from the FPR to the vacuum tree at the rear of the intake manifold.

The fuel lines (at least on mine) are all braided steel hose with screw on fittings.

Well, I've figured it out. Seems I had the transmission vacuum line in my hands the whole time. The Haynes manual has a small mention of it in the front of the book where it shows that vacuum tree on the intake. The light went on in my head...

I'm still gonna post a pic of it. Prolly won't be till after Christmas. Somebody else might have a brain fart like I did.
