i have a 2000 v8 explorer xlt all wheel drive. i just had some engine work done on it such as cam and lifters timming chain and rollers rockers. now i am missing the fuel return line. i asked the guy that did the work for me and he said not all explorers have a fuel return line. i do not have a fuel leak. is he right, some explorers have a return ling and some dont? he also said that the motor in my explorer is a cobra mustang motor besause the intake runners on mine are round.:us:

your 2000 has a GT-40p 5.0L pushrod V8, very similar to the Cobra Mustang block but it has a camshaft that is better suited for a truck.

its a full roller motor (roller lifters on the camshaft)

I believe it was 2000+ when Ford went to the returnless style fuel rail, your fuel pressure is controlled by the computer, not by a vacuum modulator like you are used to seeing

There are plenty of guys on this forum with hopped up 5.0L trucks, even some with 347 stroker small blocks and some that are boosted.
with the SBF the sky is the limit

thank you i knew if anyone knew the answer someone on this site would. thank you.
