Does anyone know if there is a gasket for the top of the gas tank lock ring where the fuel pump installs? I have a slight sweat of a fuel leak at the top of the tank. I don't really want to buy a whole new expensive fuel pump just for a gasket. If its not a bad gasket, then any ideas what it might be? I had the tank out once and couldn't notice anything out of the ordinary as far as holes cracking ect. I could always clean it, dry it and use a petroleum safe silicone sealant to try and stop the leakage.

I would guess it is water condensation from inside the tank. Do you usally run around with less than a half a tank of fuel. Try and keep a full-ish tank to help. I really don't have any experience with this issue. Sorry.

Thanks for the info. Looks like the tank is coming out for a seal job.
