gas gauge is not working already checked all fuses and replaced the gas gauge, any other places I should check out? I been wanting to check out the floating device in the gas tank that measures the gas, is it recommended that I do?

You have two options when getting to the gas tank on the Ranger. Personally, I like to lift the bed. Remove the bolts (I think 8 or 6), remove the top part of the hole or the bottom part of the filler hole and gently lift the bed up and support it with a 2x2 and the fuel pump is just right on top of the tank next to the filler. Thelast time I checked at Auto Zone (on the 94 Ranger) it was $110.
