Gas guage is never correct.

So I have a 98 explorer which the fuel guage is always moving. I could have half a tank in it and it reads anywhere between full and 1/4 tank. I was thinking it was the anti slosh unit but I was wondering it was the whole fuel assembly. Any tips would help.

When you go to swap the unit, make sure you are almost totally out of gas. Access is on the top of the tank and super heavy if full.

The float might have a small pin hole crack or the sending unit might be going.

I think my fuel pump was complete with the sensor and the pump.

The anti slush unit is in the dash that's why I dont wanna do the assembly and the anti slush is what's wrong
