ok, weird thing happened the other day, i filled up the truck, wich has a 21 gal tank i believe, computer said i was at 0 miles for a little while, and the needle was past e, so i filled it up, took like a lil over 18 gal, so i had a few left, anyways i got in, started it up, needle goes past full....and the computer reads 380 miles left......i've filled it up plenty of times and it always used to go around 300 or so, even with everything reset, and according to ford reg city is like 15 miles per gal, so, should i be worried? i've made no mods or anything to it, completely stock and runs fine

Hell, I wouldn't worry about it. Those onboard computers are a joke in my opinion. I have not seen one yet that was very accurate. The ex had a 2006 Fusion, and you had better not rely in it. Also, DON'T LET GAS GET MUCH BELOW 1/4, or you run risk of burning up the fuel pump.

I agree with everything said above ^^ I always kinda thought I would want that computer thing in my Ex and was jealous of people who had one, but to be honest, most just aren't that reliable. They're meant for more of an "estimate" or rough idea, not to completely base stuff off of it. And I strongly, strongly second keeping gas above 1/4 tank. I know it is not always easy, especially in these times, but fuel pumps aren't cheap by any means.

yeah i thought it was cool that i had one also, still do, just thought something might have gone wrong when the computer gave me like 80 miles more then what i normally have when i fill up, which is around 300 or so miles
