Gas - just go with 87?

No it's not, I don't believe. I saw someone else the U.S. does '(RON+MON)/2' and other places do 'RON/2' which produces higher numbers but the gas is basically the same.
 






as per this thread: don't forget that offered octane levels are lower at altitude (6700' here).

so it's 85 for me, and all is well.
 






Guess Australia has the same rating like Europe, 87 US-Octane is close to the European 92 Octane-fuels ( In Europe it is called ROZ and based / calculated on some more properties than the US-Octanes ).
