Gas Pedal

The gas pedal on my 98 Ford Explorer has become detached from the metal bracket that holds it. The bolts are nowhere in sight. Do they attach from behind? If so, how easy is it to get to them ( or in other words for my mechanic to get in to reattach, am I looking at lots of $ or small job?) Female

Thanks Brooklyn Bay. Looks like a pretty easy fix....all the work can be done from inside the vehicle. I really don't think I can be accused of using 'excessive force' on the gas pedal
