gauge cluster needle replacement

hey guys,

i think i read on here somewhere about reinstalling the gauge needles being a p.i.t.a. i can't find any threads or anything so wondering if someone out there can bring me up to speed on this.

The only references I've seen have been when people are putting in white-face gauges or putting in the luminescent gauge faces, sometime you have to pop the needle off to apply the overlay then press the needle back on.

i remember reading somewhere that getting them back on isn't the problem but getting them to read the correct indication is what is tricky?!? i don't know i just want to make sure i don't screw myself here.
