Question#1: I have a 00 ex eddie 5.0l. when i start it up in the morning the oil pressure gauge needle will flicker on low but the engine seems to be running fine. do i replace the oil pressure sending unit?

Question#2: My tachometer is tweaking out. it will be reading the right rpm every now and then but normaly it reads like around 3500 rpm when the engine is at idle. what do i do about that? is there a rpm sending unit that is replacable?

Thanks,
Brett

pressure gauge problem is typical in many ex's and I've never tried to fix it but I'd be willing to bet replacing the sending unit would fix it. I've never heard of the tach problem, and no there isn't a replaceable sensor that i'm aware of.

Thanks. ill try to replace the oil sending unit.
