Getting Smoke smell out of a truck

Welp Me and my GF smoke.. and i hate having my truck smell like it.. do any of you know anything that works good on getting the smell out?

try "Ozium", it can be found at most autopart stores and in the auto sections of dept. stores.

after my GF quit smoking (i still do), we tried several different types of odor eliminators in our apartment. "Ozium" seems to work better than any of the others.

I just drive around with my windows down all the time, that and some occasional Frabreze(sp?) What I'd love to find is some good new car smell. It seems that all the kinds I've ever seen smell like crap and not anywhere near what a new car smells like.

You can also try shampooing the headliner and carpets (seats if cloth, too). We have a small Bissel that I use to clean the inside of dirt (I don't smoke) but it also takes odors out.

Yeah, the more I look around on this board the more Xers I realize are from LI. I work at Hofstra and I think there's a few members at Hofstra, Chucky D and a few others, but I've yet to meet any in person. Febreeze (sp?) works really good.

Stick a couple of boxes of arm and hammer backing soda in there overnight with the windows up. Only after you vacume it out. Throw some of it on the carpet and the seats then vacume it out the next day again. It usually removes the stink.

when i bought mine it was used and a smokers car, so the dealer put a nuetralizer in it overnight and you would never know it was a smokers car!

yah drive around with the windows down and toss a vanilla tree underneath the seat. Orrr, you can go pro style and get an 'airspencer'. These things are the bomb on covering up smells and they smell damn good too. Dead Link Removed I don't know if you want to order them from here, but I personally just disguise myself and go to the local rice rocket shop.

josh, just the other day i went into one of the local rocket shops and they tried to sell me one of those! they were like "you have to get one of these!, EVERYONE wants one and i just got a few instock... they will be gona tomorrow i promise you... just buy one they are the best thing you can buy for your car". i was like "maybe another time"

Dealership trick

Do what the car dealers do and stick some dryer sheets into the heater vents. Turn the heat on full and let her sit for 20 Min. Then pull the sheets out of the vents and your good to go!

First you have to get rid of the source. KICK OUT THE GIRLFRIEND!!!!

Smoke smell is hard to get out of a car and like people have already said you have to get it out of everything. We have worked on cars that really smell and we had to take the radio out for some reason and it even smelled bad.

Like they said you have to shampoo the roof, carpet, everything.

Then may I suggest after you get it cleaned don't smoke in it....

Leave it and just roll around with your windows down. Either that, or think of it this way:

you'll only smell it right when you first get in, after that you'll just get used to it

ya but its not me that does not like the smell... i dont even notice it... its anyone that getins in my truck... ie: my mom =P she does not know i smoke... i blame it on my GF =P

Ha! That's hilarious chris! You brought a smile to my face...anyways, I think you should get one dude, even if you look like an ass. Just make sure to get the "squash" one. It smells damn good. You won't look like too much of an ass, if they even remember you, just be like"hey man, you got one a them airspencers? My sister wanted for her birthday." just go get one man...you'll be glad you did.

yea i think i will go back, but the funny thing is after i said no, the smart ass guy was like "alright your missin out dude... well see what happenes when you realise you do want one come crawling back and were all out." i think im going to go over and look to see if they have any left when nobody is looking and if they dont, then ill pretend i came to look for soemthing else.

u say the "squash" one... do you mean squash smelling??
