I was trying to get us out of it---there you go again!!:D

LOL ok now that the I have cleanly flush my nostrils with the water I was drinking, after seeing that picture. I will need to replace my keyboard :-)

That is me in the rabbit suite. That was taken Easter of 2002

picture was so funny I had to look a few times to see the comment. You bet I will need a gun rack, spring turkey is coming up!!

and I already have two fishing trips planned one, fly fishing in my old stompen grounds of central PA, two is up to maine for some stellar bass fishing

I am still laughing at that picture, I need to show that to my kids they will love it (it's printing now :-)

I have just gotten back into it 2 years ago after a 20 year lapse (it's a sickness, or at least that's what my wife says)

So I really have only been here locally, The Blackwater in WV, North Branch Potomac, Savage River MD, Kettle Creek PA, Trout Run PA, Young Womans Creek PA, Slate Run PA, and various others

I am still re-learning all the patterns and when to use them

White River sounds really cool, maybe add that to my list of road trips, although I think my next big one will be either Canada, or a fly fishing trip to Maine.

Oh I forgot to add my steelhead trip last year to Erie PA, that was as much fun as any person should have with a fly rod. 10 to 30 lb steelhead on a 9wt fly rod with max 4lb tipet
Hah! fought one for 18 minutes before she rolled and snapped my line definetly the biggest fish I have ever caught with a fly rod.

But the most fun is still Smallmouth on the potomac from my kayak, no crowds just Gods great views and constaint smallmouh action, not big fish but just plain fun!!

If I get it I will add the photos this week. I want to keep track of the mods as they go on. Let's see
31" Goodrich A/T's (from ranger)
TT/shackle lift (under 2" but OK for now)
Tranny temp guage (Already has 2 coolers)
Some type of custom made Fly rod holder
Needs a new towbar (old one is toast)
Better roof rack for Kayak and Canoe
I have a set of shorty headers from my 85 GT they may find their way on there

and I'm sure there are many other mods that will find their way into the truck
I'm always open for suggestions.

It is one of the limited models with all the fancy leather and woodgrain finish so I will need to redneck it up and still keep it professional for my job <G>

You can look at my registry for some ideas- I have to warn you, its like a disease. I was nearly stock 1.5 years ago and now....whew.

Not to be too pushy, but you can go elite for $20, start an elite registry, upload pictures- I wish I had done so when I got my truck. $20 is a drop in the hat- this site and the friends and connections I have made are worth much more. Of course, you don't have to be elite to do that.

If I get the truck I will be sure to register right away, I can see this site has a wealth of info and is well worth the $20

Man have I been there!

For another good laugh read this (not exactly child freindly)

That's just Way Too funny, although I have to feel kinda bad for him cause I've been there. Although my situation didn't involve bed liner but a hot sauce called black widow that is supposedly the 2nd hottest sauce made, you have to sign a waver for the next step up, I think you get the point. Anyway, you have to apply it to food with a toothpick otherwise if you get more than that on the food your roasted going in and coming out the next day if you know what I mean! Well I was making some of my favorite jalapinio burgers and there must have been some residual sauce on the side of the bottle. During the process nature called and let's just say when I grabbed my gun and was ready to pull the trigger it started to feel like someone stuck a blow torch in my pants  . It took some vigorus washing and ice to settle things down a bit. When you've been there, it's like a scare that never goes away, so when someone else is in the same boat all the memories flash back.

But at least my wife got a good laugh! and I learned to wash my hands well after handling that hot sauce.

LMAO!!!!!
I had a similar thing happen after cleaning some habanero's I grew for the grill. I had never touched a habanero before, and had no clue.

Then nature called--who'd have thought? I was squirming for 5 days--man it was awesome---

I now have the unbreakable habit of wanting to wash my hands before--and after.

Oh man. This is starting to sound like jigas thread.:D

That's all mine got for a few day's--
weren't you--so to speak--useless for awhile?

Heck yeah, it is the first time since puberty, that I can remember not thinking about, well, you know...

Manaen: Mobil 1 ATF is indeed Mercon V rated. When I did my X I dropped the lower transmission cooler line and used shop air to push all the fluid through the lines and back to the trans where it drained out with the rest of the fluid. I cleaned the pan out well and got all the gunk off the pan magnet. I then drained the converter. When I filled it up, I put about 4 quarts in and started the engine, I then dumped in another 8 quarts while it was running, started checking the level as I went and ended up putting in 13 1/2 quarts total. I'd say that is about as good as you can get without disassembly.

The trans shifts more cleanly and crisply now, it just seems more effortless. Aldive has quite a few posts on the benefits of Synthetic ATF, you may want to search around and read what he has accomplished in his "quest for 30MPG" series of posts.

I had a hot pepper experience similar to that when I was about 12 years old. A neighbors dog would come over and eat our dog's food so I fixed up a spicy surprise for him. A bowl of soup that was about 50% ground up dried habenero peppers. I ground the peppers by hand, you know the rest...

Sweet, Thanks, Both for salvaging this thread from it's downhill gutteral slope and providing the great info.

I have read that 30mpg thing it is very interesting, and I will be swapping out all fuids with synth.

I'll add for what it's worth-
Without mentioning brand names-I switched all driveline fluids to synthetic-
It made a difference--one I could "feel", it seems the truck will coast smoother, more car like. It definitely has less rolling resistance.
I noticed better fuel economy also. I think the sooner you make the switch, the faster it will pay off. As fuel gets more expensive, the payoff happens sooner still.

Amsoil--oooops did I say that?
