- '97 Explorer XLT
Greetings all!
I've been lurking the Explorer threads for a few months and decided to finally jion. I've got a stock 97 Explorer XLT 4x4 that is currently in the small lift modification process. As of this week I've taken off the tupperware(ground effects), did a 1.5 inch torsion Lift and am installing some home made shackles this evening to raise the rear 1.5-2 inches. Tomorrow the stock tires and rims get taken off and I'm installing 31x10.5 meats wrapped on Black Rock Crawler Rims with a 4 inch offset. I'll also be picking up a Land Rover 42"x32" roof Basket sometime today to mount this weekend.
Looking forward to reading more and getting out on some rougher trails to take me to the singletrack I love to ride my mountain bike on.
For now here is a photo of the Explorer Stock.
