good beginner spots in socal

i have a pretty much stock ford expetition 2wd with BFG A/T tires. i have been to texas canyon and im looking to go other places in socal.

any suggestions?

By Texas Canyon are you reffering to what is now called Rowher Flats? What trails have you done there? I would think that Rowher and Lookout trails would be too difficult for a 2wd IFS rig. I don't know your skills or willingness to push it, so I'll just list all the trails I know of near me.
There is Drinkwater Flats a few valleys over (betwen San Francisquito and Bouqeut Canyons) which has a few easy trails, but the main entrance is quite a climb even for a stock 4wd. And theres another trail or two between San Francisquito and Hughes Lake Rd.
There is Azusa Canyon OHV, but they likely won't let you in because you are 2wd.
In the Gorman/Mt Pinos area there are a few good trails in and around Hungry Valley OHV & Miller Jeep Trail.
And then out past Mojave there is Joshua Tree and some other OHV and Last Chance Canyon.

For any pics of these places check out my website link in my signature, especially between 2000-2002 when those locations were still difficult & fun. And if you need a buddy to wheel with I'm always up for a wheeling trip.

i ended up doing gorman sunday, i did about 80% of everything they had, some of the hills were too steep but i took most of them, very fun as long as i didnt get stuck. ill check out the others you listed in the future and i will hit you up for sure. its not always safe to go alone especialy when you get stuck..
